Our Mission

100% of the proceeds to benefit Cancer Research

Our mission is to raise awareness for Adult Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) and Cancer Research at the James Cancer Hospital.

Cory Lunger battled ALL since 2008.  He went through 3 cycles of chemotherapy and 2 bone marrow transplants, and was faced with limited treatment options throughout the course of his disease. There are few clinical trials available to adults diagnosed with ALL, and even fewer for those who relapse after their initial treatment. So the Cory Lunger Endowment Fund was created to change the course of those affected by ALL.

We need more research.
We need more clinical trials.
We need a world without ALL.

Adult Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) represents about 20% of adult leukemias.

The cause of ALL remains unknown in most cases.

At the James, there are currently no trials open for newly diagnosed ALL patients and only 1 trial for patients with relapsed disease.

In 2012 approximately 2023 adults were diagnosed with ALL, with 1144 dying from the disease.

• Current chemotherapy regimens have an 80% success rate in placing the disease in remission, however outcomes after the disease returns remain poor.
• A second remission occurs less than 50% of the time
• Long term disease survival is rare, the current 3 year survival rate is 20%
